idioms and slangs

hello guys, last holiday when i went to english village, me and my friends went to a bookstore there. and we interested with one book about idioms and slangs. and we bought it.....

idioms is a phrase which means can not be inferred or interpreted for word from every word that compose. idiom can be confusing for those of you who are just learning the language, specially english and you are not familiar with it. i'll give you some examples and the meaning with indonesian language guysss....

1. on and off : sekali-kali

2. quit that! : hentikan itu

3. rain cats and dogs : hujan lebat sekali

4. rake-off : potongan harga

5. stick someone : mencurangi/menipu

6. take a bow : menundukkan kepala

7. topsy-turvy : kacau-balau

8. trade in : tukar tambah

9. just my luck : celakalah saya

10. say grace : berdoa sebelum atau sesudah makan

slangs is english expressions that are not raw or more often called in indonesian slang. the use of slang is generally not found in formal communication both for writing and pronunciation but people generally use it in daily communication. i'll give the slangs examples too guys...

1. ass out : bokek

2. o gee : masya allah

3. quit with one : tidak menang dan tidak kalah

4. wishy-washy : plin-plan

5. bogey : upil

6. bingo : tepat

7. blah-blah : omong kosong

8. phat : bagus sekali

9. no way jose : itu tidak mungkin

10. no hassle : tidak apa-apa

sorry guys, i just give you a few examples of there are both, because it's too much if i wirte down here.

english village

learn english in your holiday is the best way to spend your time guyss. last holiday i went to one of english village in pare, kediri, jawa timur. pare is the so recommeded for you all to practice your english more and more. in there, i join in peace and oxford. in peace learn about speaking, pronunciation, and everything about speaking. everyday we had a dialogue in peace class guys. but different in oxford, oxford learn about grammar and prepare our toefl or ielts. although so boring to learn grammar but i enjoyed this class. where we lived in english village???? okay, there are so many camp in english village, you can choose do you want to english area camp or not, but i think we can choose english area camp guys because we must speak english  in this area so we can more practice our english. so many activity each day. it was so fun there. i wanna go back there again. i love that place although so hot there you must ride your bike everywhere will you go. but it's fun guys i swear. i'm very enjoy the class and everything there. so, c'mon go to english village on your holiday you will get a lot of new friendssss...

my holiday, how about you?

hi, how was life? in this time i will tell you guys about my last supeeeeer great holiday. you know guys last holiday i went to the great places that i haven't visited before, i went to kediri and malang. first of all, i went to pare, kediri and i visit english village to learn my english for two weeks without my parents so i must manage my money by myself. and i visit there with my beloved friends and new friends from duanamtour undip semarang. after i spent my two weeks in english village in pare, i went to malang and visited bns (batu night spectacular)... yes this place is so awesome. and the next supeeeerrrr great  place in this country is...... bromo mountain, yes only in Indonesia. this place is recommended for y'll, if you visit indonesia you must must must visit bromo mountain. you can see the sunrise, crater, the beautiful hill like in teletubbies from bromo mountain and now i'm already love this place so badly. and i miss that place so much, i wanna going back there soon. yes, as soon as possible.
